Accident Defined

In general, an accident is an event, which is not desirable. it is an unexpected, unplanned and uncontrolled occurence that occurs after a sequence of events. The results may lead to physical harm, injury or death,
damage to property, loss of production time, economic waste, and may have a catastrophic effect from the family life.
Workshop/Industrial Safety Defined: Industrial or Workshop safety is the control of persons, machines, materials and systems of work in order to provide and maintain a working environment in which people will not be injured, or suffer damage to their health, or in which property is damaged. That is the absence of accident in the work place and the maintenance of clean, orderly and safe working environment.
Types of Industrial Accident: Industrial Accidents could be mechanical, non-mechanical or electrical.
Non-Mechanical Accidents: An accident is said to be non-mechanical if it is not caused by a machine rotating or sliding part of machine.
